Once again, Minnesota will celebrate Manufacturing Month in October, and I encourage you to take the time to celebrate it in some way.

The Northeast Minnesota Tour of Manufacturing returns October 22–24, offering students the chance to explore local manufacturing facilities firsthand. AMFA is proud to coordinate this regional event alongside partner organizations. This year will include over 40 manufacturing facilities in our region who will be hosting tours! This is a powerful opportunity to engage with the next generation of workers and help reshape outdated perceptions of manufacturing.

We are also excited to announce the new Inaugural Map for AMFA’s Tour of Manufacturing! We appreciate the support from all of our advertisement sponsors on the map and are very excited to print and distribute the finished product! Be on the look out via mail and email for the map!

We have our monthly luncheon meeting and tour happening on September 16th! This will be held at Duluth Seaway Port Authority. Our speakers for the event at from True North Goodwill, the topic will explore the mission, impact, and footprint across the region that True North Goodwill has made. We will then head over to Altec Industries for a tour of their facility!

Wishing you all the best!

Best Regards,
Rally Hess,
AMFA President
