Midwest Manufacturers’ Association is excited to announce that Amy Johnson will transition from Summer Intern to a brand new position: MMA Assistant Director. In her new role with MMA, Amy will focus on expanding relationships with individuals and organizations that are like-minded in their desire to enhance the success of the manufacturing industry. Her efforts will increase the ROI for members of AMFA, CMMA and TSMA. Although collaboration specific to workforce development (raising awareness of manufacturing careers, improving public perception of manufacturing, incumbent worker training, and more) will be a priority, other initiatives and partnerships will be explored. 

Prior to joining the MMA staff, Amy spent a number of years in the Human Resources field. Though she brings with experience from a variety of industries, her passion lies in manufacturing, workforce development, and educating youth about manufacturing careers.

Having grown up in Anoka, MN, and then spending five years in Tennessee, Amy now resides in Ashby, MN with her husband and three children.
