Who is Marvin?
Marvin is a fourth-generation family-owned and -led business headquartered in Warroad, Minnesota, with more than 7,000 employees across 16 cities in North America.
What is happening in the Red River Valley?
As a more than 110-year-old, family-owned and -led company, Marvin is in a unique position to both carry on the legacy of the generations before us and to innovate for the generations yet to come. Over the last five years, Marvin has strategically doubled in size. That growth has allowed us to significantly expand our Fargo-based operations, where we now have our largest workforce population of nearly 2,000 Marvin employees.
Much of that growth is due to thoughtful product innovations based around a simple but powerful question: How might we help people live better? With people at the center of our work, new solutions such as the Marvin Modern product line and Marvin Awaken Skylight are helping people do just that. Those are just a few of the premium window and door offerings manufactured across our 8 Fargo-area facilities, where we also develop new product enhancements and services.
Who are our customers and where are they located?
The Marvin portfolio of products for builders, architects, and homeowners is designed to provide exceptional solutions for any project, with a focus on creating better ways of living. Marvin products are distributed nationally through a network of independent dealers and are also exported internationally.

Marvin’s product portfolio includes the Signature, Elevate, and Essential product collections, which offer an extensive selection of made-to-order window and door solutions, as well as Infinity Replacement Windows, providing homeowners with a premier line of replacement windows sold and installed by local professionals. The company’s portfolio also includes TruStile Doors, the leading manufacturer of made-to-order architectural interior doors and SIW Windows & Doors, a leading manufacturer of impact-resistant windows and doors for residential and commercial construction.
Since the company’s inception, Marvin has earned a reputation as an innovator and industry thought leader. Today, the company is driven by a purpose to imagine and create better ways of living.
OSHA’s Volunteer Protection Program (VPP) Star Certification
OSHA’s VPP Star certification recognizes organizations that maintain injury and illness rates below the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s national averages for their respective industries through effective safety and health management systems. Just 0.1% of companies across the United States have earned this credential. And now, four of Marvin’s facilities have received this certification in North Dakota.
“Marvin is committed to helping people live better. For our employees, that commitment comes to life through the focus on safety we have made for our manufacturing facilities, our investments in training and safety protocols and through the partners we choose to work with,” said Chris Barta, Senior Director of Operations at Marvin. “It’s just one example of the ways we continue to invest in our people.”
In 2022, the West Fargo North manufacturing facility joined Marvin’s three existing VPP Star-certified locations in the area, Fargo, West Fargo South and Marvin Composites (formerly known as Tecton) – to make up four of the 11 total VPP Star-certified facilities in North Dakota. To earn VPP certification, employers must work cooperatively with OSHA and employees to prevent injuries through rigorous systems, testing and evaluations.
“Through our priority to keep our workforce safe, we are also committed to continue our role as a responsible corporate partner and employer in the Fargo community,” said Barta.
