Greetings RRMEA members! 
 
Welcome to Summer. What a perfect time to enjoy all the great things about the Red River Valley! 
 
The first annual RRMEA Golf Social will take place on August 21 at Suite Shots in Fargo. This event will help us raise $15,000 to benefit youth manufacturing programs in our area. You can register individually or in teams of 2, 4 or 6 people. We are looking for sponsors, too. You can sponsor one or two golf bays at Suite Shots. Let’s make this first fundraising event a great one! 
 
The recent legislative session was quite impactful for our members on both sides of the river. In North Dakota HB1168 was signed into law which allows tax credits for certain automation equipment purchases. In Minnesota businesses are preparing for the financial consequences of implementing the new mandatory paid family and medical leave, as well as the legalization of cannabis which takes place on August 1.   
 
Midwest Manufacturers Association, our association management company, is excited to announce the launch of Midwest Manufacturing, a regional magazine that will be printed quarterly. The first issue will include the annual membership directory, which includes membership information on all members of AMFA, CMMA, RRMEA, and TSMA.  
 
RREMA currently has 47 members! Our membership goal for 2023 was 50 members and now we’re hoping for 75+! Help us reach this goal by recruiting a new member. New members are invited to register and attend the New Member Orientation on August 15 at 2:00 pm on Zoom. 
 
As a member of RRMEA you can benefit from participating in MBiz Solutions. You can realize a cost savings to your operation by using the Employer Health Plans, the Employer Dental & Vision Plans or, if your business is in Minnesota, the Trifac Workers’ Compensation Fund. Joining a committee gives you a voice in the direction of RRMEA and creates an army of promoters. We’d like to extend an invitation to all employees at member firms to consider volunteering for a committee that you have a passion around. The committees are Membership Recruitment & Retention; Program; and Government Relations. Please reach out to me with questions about how to get involved!!
