Parker Precision LLC - Your CNC Machining Solution

After 20 years of experience with welding, CNC machining and programming, Seth Anderson made the decision to begin his own endeavor by starting up a small, custom Machine Shop.  Combining his schooling, work experience and technical knowledge, he began Parker Precision LLC in 2017.

History

What started in 2015 as an empty pole building with dirt floors was transformed into the current 1,800 square foot space located just 5 miles north of Parkers Prairie, MN. Right off state highway 29, this location allows convenience and flexibility in supporting local Customers within a large radius. Seth's machine shop includes CNC milling & turning, manual milling & turning, light welding and quality control.

Throughout his years in the industry, Seth gained a vast knowledge of machine capabilities, lean improvement techniques and various coding methods. He has used this knowledge to build the overall breadth that currently resides in Parker Precision. A heavy focus is placed on producing quality parts while striving to keep costs competitive. Continually looking for efficiency gains and optimizing tooling allows overhead to stay manageable, passing savings on to the Customer.

Capabilities

Currently housed with a Haas VF2 Mill, SL20 Lathe, Bridgeport EZ Trak, manual Bridgeports, mig and tig welding and a Zeiss CMM, Parker Precision has the potential to take a multiple step component from print to completion in one location. Components being made in the shop come from industries such as secondary packaging, motion controls, farming/automotive and recreational.

Efforts to continually learn of machining best practices and latest software helps to stay current with the ever changing technologies. Seth’s ability to think outside the box and leverage SolidWorks and SolidCam tools provides a unique Customer experience. This can be found in past projects from reverse engineering obsolete components to prototyping using 3D printing.

Future

The long term plan is to become more of a niche fabrication shop in the medical/aerospace components market. The future focus also includes expanding technologies allowing opportunities such as single setup processing, 5-axis profiling and robotics automation. With this expansion of capacity, a building addition will most likely be required. Along with physical growth, a core focus will be placed on attaining necessary certifications and standard compliances. Parker Precision looks forward to continuing to meet new individuals and companies within the local manufacturing industry.
