Park Industries is seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to our team as the Vice President of Human Resources! 

At Park Industries, the Vice President of Human Resources sets strategy and direction for all aspects of the Human Resources function in alignment with overall business strategies and objectives.  This executive role develops and implements overall strategy, goals and objectives for Human Resources and safety initiatives including culture management, talent management strategy, total rewards, engagement and retention, employee relations, training and development, and OSHA compliance.  The position is also accountable for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

What can you expect in this role?

  • You will develop an in depth understanding of the business both strategically and operationally to establish and implement short-term and long-term strategies that drive business results while proactively anticipating changes and implications to the business.
  • You will work with the CEO to ensure Park’s organizational and executive leadership structures are designed and implemented in a way that supports the strategic direction of the company.
  • You will partner with the organization to identify, develop and drive key talent management initiatives such as leadership development, performance management, change management, workforce and succession planning, and coaching (associate and manager).
  • You will lead organizational change initiatives including Leadership Development, Career Development, and Performance Management & Employee Engagement.
  • You will coach, counsel, and guide executives and managers on all associate related issues. Coaches executives in areas of development including the selection, evaluation and motivation of top management. Guide leaders to provide associates with development opportunities to help ensure they meet current and future performance standards.
  • You will formulate departmental objectives and strategies that achieve overall corporate goals
  • You will identify continuous improvement opportunities within the HR function and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
  • You will identify key performance indicators for the organization’s Human Resource functions and assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • You will oversee the annual benefit review process, including providing feedback regarding design or policy changes, oversee administration of all benefit programs.
  • You will lead the compensation planning activity for the business to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity is maintained and company pay practices are adhered to.. Consult with leaders on new job titles and oversee the effectiveness and administration of the incentive program.
  • You will ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday working office hours with some flexibility based on events.  It can be hybrid or based out of our Saint Cloud, MN office, with travel as needed (up to 10%).

What makes you a good fit?
Here is what we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Human Resources Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP) and/or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience including at least 5 years leading Human Resources teams in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead all aspects of Human Resources, developing Human Resources professionals and managing external partners.
  • Strong assessment and decision making skills; proven ability to influence and build relationships both within the organization and with external sources.
  • Ability to remain flexible and collaborative while driving initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, persuasion and creative problem solving skills.
  • Results-oriented, dynamic, flexible and can easily link HR to business solutions.
  • Strong sense of urgency toward to business issues.
  • Experience in a sales-driven environment.
  • Builds engaging relationships with all organizational stakeholders through trust, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Astute business acumen and employment law exposure required; experience aligning HR strategies and initiatives with the business strategies and objectives.
  • Experience with EOS/Traction (preferred)
