Benefits of Registered Apprenticeship
Representatives from Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry will be in Alexandria on December 17th to present on Registered Apprenticeship and the benefits of growing and sustaining an innovative workforce. Registered Apprenticeship offers a time-tested employee training system that can be customized to meet the needs of any business while increasing employee engagement and retention. Currently, funding opportunities of up to $5,000 per apprentice are available to employers through the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative grant. Attendees will also hear from Allison Liuzzi, Minnesota Compass project director, who will discuss Minnesota's changing demographics and implications for workforce development and economic well-being. Additionally, Ed Godfrey from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs will discuss the options and benefits available for veterans through the MN GI Bill. There is no cost to attend.
