Role of the Supervisor

September 18 & 19, 25 & 26, 2024

Wednesday & Thursday Mornings | 8:00am - 12:00pm

Role of the Supervisor is a 16-hour course that takes place over four morning sessions.

This course covers the fundamentals of leadership with a focus on the professional supervisor and informal leaders. First-time supervisors especially benefit from this training as they transition from operation experts to leaders. Learn the art of listening to employees, value differences with co-workers, and how behavior impacts teamwork. Topics include relationships, responsibilities and authority, interviewing and orientation, delegation and motivation, change and discipline.

During the four sessions, we will cover:

• Motivation and Coaching
• Performance Management
• Decision Making

This course includes the professional presentation with handouts and the opportunity to put learning to practice with large and small group activities all led by Brian Hart, respected community leader and professional development coach with over 40-years of experience.

About Brian Hart
Brian Hart is a business and community leader with broad experience. He has managed national business units, sales, marketing, communications, product development, and client relations activities in both privately-held and global corporate enterprises. He is also an experienced small business owner and currently provides business training and strategic planning facilitation services. He is an active volunteer leader with the Rotary Club of St. Cloud and TEDxStCloud.
