Industrial Painter 1, 1st Shift

The Industrial Painter 1 is responsible for preparing products for prime and paint. Preparation processes include, but are not limited to, fixturing, washing, prepping/masking, priming, and top coating. The Industrial Painter 1 performs quality checks of the painted product for runs, sags, and skips and is capable of touch up as needed or required. The Industrial Painter 1 is gaining skills in the paint process, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting of paint equipment. This role is responsible for assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment, and offering suggestions for improvements.

What You’ll Do

All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability to work outside of the standard shift hours as needed:

  • Wash product in preparation for painting
  • Operate spray equipment to prime and paint parts
  • Identify parts that need additional preparation for paint and perform needed tasks: install plugs, mask/tape areas that are not to be painted, grease any bores, or sand a finish for recoat
  • Verify coating thickness, wash titration, and overall paint quality to ensure product meets specifications
  • Operate a forklift and/or crane to load and unload parts into the wash bay and paint booth

Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 6:00am - 11:00am.

 Experience and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or training or the equivalent of education and experience, preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with mechanical knowledge, preferred

Pay Transparency Statement

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 - $22.00 Please note that the hourly range provided is an estimate and not a guarantee; the final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift. Full-time employees may also be eligible for variable compensation, company-wide incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, the availability of benefits and programs may vary depending on the hire date, employment type, and hours worked.
