Inventory Planner

The Inventory Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing key inventory control activities, including validating cycle counts, preparing month-end documentation, and maintaining accurate inventory data in the ERP system. This role works closely with Accounting, Planning, and Purchasing to establish appropriate stocking levels and ensure data integrity. The Inventory Planner also supports aging/obsolete inventory monitoring, assists with work order creation, and tracks production status.

All duties are to be performed in compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability to work outside standard hours as needed:

  • Coordinate and monitor inventory control systems, both computerized and manual, through routine cycle counts and measurement controls.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies identified in manufacturing and warehouse areas, driving issues to root cause.
  • Manage slow-moving and excess inventory, including coordinating cross-functional meetings to resolve concerns.
  • Prepare and validate month-end and year-end inventory documentation.
  • Assist with processing ERP messages, creating work orders, and monitoring work order progress through production.
  • Provide support to Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Purchasing on work order-related questions or changes.

This position is onsite at our St Cloud, MN location. Hours for this position are Standard Business Hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm 

Experience and Qualifications
Education

  • Two-year technical degree or Associate degree in Manufacturing or Business, required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.

Pay Transparency Statement

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $22.00 – $27.00. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift. Full-time employees may also be eligible for variable compensation, company-wide incentives, and comprehensive benefits. Availability of benefits and programs may vary based on hire date, employment type, and hours worked.
